The latest survey by Future Forum published by Wired involving 10.000 knowledge workers in 6 countries seems to show that the “new normal” regarding the working environment is not that new… Resistance (by the management) could be the best way to synthesize the results.
More concerning from a Leadership perspective is that “fewer than half of employees believe their bosses are being transparent about future plans”. To add a bit of spice : the focus group with executives “revealed that company leadership was often afraid of transparency in case plans changed or turned out to be the wrong road.”
Needless to say that in that context, there is still a lot of work within the organisation to build TRUST which is THE corner stone to develop any long-lasting fulfilling Leadership…
